All of my jewelry can be gold-plated with 24-carat gold, on a 925 sterling silver base, with a plating thickness of 3 or 5 microns.
Both finishes offer beautiful plating quality. The 5-micron plating is a layer of gold about 1.7 times thicker than the 3-micron one, which generally gives it better wear resistance and a longer-lasting finish.
